Beauty | Most Worn Red Lipsticks

A red lip is a statement look and can make any girl go from cute to glam in seconds, I always pull out a red lipstick when I'm feeling low as it always makes my makeup really pop and almost makes me want to go out and show the world how cute my lips look. I have four that are my go to lipsticks each has it own little must have and reason as to why I love it!

Beauty | MAC Candid Nectarine Lip Scrubtious

I love a good scrub and for just £12.50 from MAC I think I have found my all time favorite one, this review is for the Candid Nectarine lip Scrub however I would advise you go smell the product as that alone should make you reach for one and buy it!

Beauty | MAC Testosterone Lipstick

Finding a bargain at MAC is becoming more and more achievable thanks to there Goodbye range, which features products there discontinuing at much more affordable prices such as the new lipstick I picked up in LA for a very nice $10.

Beauty | My Go To Matte Lipsticks

Matte lipsticks are all the rave at the moment and it's easy to see why there are well used and loved, they create the perfect look and also look impressive on however can be quite damaging so I've put my top three in a post for you so you don't go for the bad ones!

Beauty | The Best Highlighters

I have three of my favorite and go to highlighters that keep my make up looking fresh and good throughout the day and today I wanted to do a post and share with you my top three.

SS16 Lips - Most Worn

This Summer I've been using three lip products the most and have decided to share them with you, I've picked out two lipsticks and a lip gloss so there is something for everyone in this post!

MAC Oil Control Lotion

When I shop in MAC it's normally to buy make up and not skincare but I decided to browse the stand whilst I was in the airport and came away with a tube of there oil control lotion. I picked up a 30ml tube which cost me £10, which is a little on the pricey side but I wanted to try out the product so decided to just go for it.

Spring Make Up Picks

Spring has sprung upon us and is out in all it's glory so today's post is all about my make up picks for the next few months before summer hits us. I switch my make up up quite a lot so it's always changing and I always have something new on my face but for Spring I've gone for some nice light pink tones.

Amsterdam Haul

Last week I was mooching the streets of Amsterdam and picked up a few items from there famous Nine Streets stores, I also got to spend a whole hour in the airport duty free stores and picked up some great bargains! So here is what I brought on my recent trip to Amsterdam.

MAC
One of my favorite brands is MAC so when I go through Duty Free I always pick up a few of there items, this time I picked up a new lipstick and a new blusher. From the new Retro Matte range I picked up the To Matte With Love which is a lovely dark pink tone ideal for summer or winter, the lipstick was only £17 in the airport rather then the £21 high street price tag. I also picked up a mineralize blush in the shade Petal Power which is such a pretty coral pink tone with a gold shimmer which looks lovely on, I picked it up for £18 instead of the £22 high street price tag.

Blogmas - Day Three Festive Lips

For me I love to do a red lip over the festive period as I feel it would look great to either match a daring outfit or add some colour to a dark outfit. I've selected three that are perfect for this time of year.

Beauty - What's In My New York Make Up Case

There is only two more weeks until New York and I've finally started to get other things together and one of them being my make up case. My make up is going to be a mix of my everyday and also my going out make up, as I feel I shall be taking a lot of photos and wanting my make up to last all day so I shall be needed a mixture of high street and high end.

The case I'm taking it my Zoella case as it looks really small and fits nicely into my case however it fits loads in and manages to stretch out nicely so everything I need fits in. It's available at Superdrug and comes in three different designs all of which are the same size, however if you want something a little smaller she has just brought out a new range which has a small pencil case style bag in which may suit you.

Product Empties March 2015

Over the last month or so I've had a lot of products I've used up and feel like I ought to do a product empties post to let you know if the products are any good and if I'm going to be buying them again.

The Body Shop Mango Scrub
The scent of this product is my favorite aspect as it is really fresh and fruity making me want to use the product over and over. The texture is dry and really scrubs into the skin well removing any dead skin and making it easy to buff the area. I've loved using this product and had the intention of buying a new one but when I went into the store I noticed the Early Harvest Raspberry scrub and picked up one of those instead. The product is £13 for a large tube and around £6 for the mini.

Sanex Dermo Sensitive Deodorant
This is the first deo that I have tried from the brand Sanex and I was really impressed, as I have really sensitive armpits I have to go for ones that don't harm my skin but they tend to be not as good as other brands. However this deo works well for keeping my sensitive down and keeping me smelling fresh throughout the day, I'm really impressed with this product and shall be picking up a new one as there only around £2 in stores like Bodycare.

MAC Natural Radiance Serum Sample
I've never got a sample from MAC before so I was really surprised to get one in my bag on my last visit, the sample I got was Natural Radiance Serum to put under my foundation to help keep it in place longer. I was impressed with the product as it went on well and soaked in nicely while holding my make up in place all day, however for me the price is a little to much and I find my MUA serum works just as well so sadly I won't be purchasing the full sized product but do recommend it.

Sally Hansen Moisturising Polish Remover
I've always raved about this brand of polish remover and always love how it removes the nail varnish off my nails and keep them in such great condition. It has a mild scent and it doesn't take to much of the product to remove nail varnish off my nails so for me this is my favorite brand to go for when buying a new polish remover, at only £2.49 it's a great buy that I shall be repurchasing.

Dove 2in1 Daily Care Shampoo and Conditioner
I love this shampoo and conditioner as it works so well at keeping my hair clean and soft while being such a quick and easy to use product. The scent is fresh and stays in my hair all day while I only need a small amount of the product to create a really thick lather to wash my hair in, it's a really great product to use and only costs around £2 in Bodycare so it's one I shall be picking up again.

Sensodyne Rapid Relief Toothpaste
I've been using this brand of toothpaste for around 2 years now and always replace the toothpaste when I have run out as it works so well at keeping my teeth sensitive free and with a mint fresh feeling. I do find however it is a little expensive as a small tube cost £2.49 and that's from Bodycare I have however already replace the product as I love it so much.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish
It feels like I've had this little sample for ages and I'm pretty sure I have, the main reason being is that it's one I use and then kind of forget about. It works really well as cleansing and my skin feels great after but it's the kind of product you just forget to use and don't go back to. It is rather pricey but works great so it's worth the money you pay £26 but for me I just wasn't to over wowed so I won't be buying a new one just yet.

One Direction One Moment Perfume
This perfume was one of those buys I never thought I would make as I'm not the biggest fan of One Direction but they do make a brilliant perfume. I brought it ages ago around a year ago and have used it as an everyday perfume since purchasing it for around £25, it has such a nice girly scent and I always get compliments when wearing it but due the fact I have seven other perfumes on the go I can't buy a new one just yet however once I've got through a few more perfumes I shall be buying a new one!

So that's it for this post, what have you used up this month?

Once You Go MAC You Can't Go Back

MAC is a brand I'm sure everyone has heard off, they are a upmarket high street brand that sell make up and a few skincare products with price starting from around the £10 mark. It was always a brand I was scared off as they are normally found in departments stores with the bitchy sales assistants standing there and judging you, but after finding a small branch in Oxford which I have grown to love I am now able to shop all things MAC and not have a care in the world.

I want to share with you today the products I use with my everyday make up routine in which I use the powder, foundation and concealer. I have had a lot of trouble in the past with trying to find the right shade of pale for my skin tone so after searching the high street and after many failed attempts I decided to go into the MAC counter. I came out with Studio Fix in shade NW10 which is the lightest shade of foundation in the store, it's a full coverage and long lasting foundation that I can not get enough off. It covers my blemishes and hides my skin if I'm having a bad day and I have no worries off it looking dull or coming off during the day which I love.

I also use the concealer in shade NW15 which is the lightest shade they do in concealers but I find it cover the dark circles and any massive spots nicely while being a nice creamy texture that glides nicely onto the skin., it isn't to dark and matches the foundation nicely which was my main concern when they didn't have the right matching shade. To go over the top of my foundation and concealer I use the Studio Fix powder in shade NW13 again not a matching shade to the foundation but I only use it to stop shine and to add a more matte look to my skin and it goes over the top off the foundation with no dramas so I have no problem with using a power a shade darker then my foundation.

When using the three products together I get a lovely glowing fresh make up look that I'm proud to show off, it matches my skin type (oily) well and it also blends so nicely onto my skin that I can't go wrong. The only downside is the price for all three products it's around the £70 mark which is rather a lot to spend on make up but when they work this well I can't say no. The set lasts around three months when using it daily which is great as you only need a small amount off each product a little goes a long way.

What is your go to foundation and which ones would you recommend for a pale face like mine?

Lady Danger by MAC

I'm a sucker for bright lipsticks and seeing MAC's Lady Danger my immediate thought was I need it! so I asked for it for Christmas and have been loving it ever since. MAC is a high street store but a bit more pricey then most shops, the lipstick's cost £15.50 but there 100% worth it.

Lady Danger is a matte shade of a vivid pop coral red which looks fab on the lips, I feel it's one of those shades that any girl can pull off. As it is a matte lipstick it is a little odd to put onto the lips and I feel it goes on a little better if you have a basic lip balm underneath to create a nice soft approach to placing the lipstick on, but once on it looks fab.

It last's for ages on my lips and I've worn it both on a night out and a throughout the day, the long lasting formula took a good few hours and a few drinks before getting to that stage I needed to reapply. They do say in MAC you should use a lip liner with the lipsticks but I find with this one it doesn't bleed out or smudge so I don't really find I need to use it with this particular shade of lipstick.

The lovely pigmentation and long lasting formula makes this lipstick a winner in my books and I'm having a lot of fun wearing it, what is your favorite red lipstick?

My Three Favorite Beauty Brands

Today post is going to be a look at my three favorite beauty brands and a lot at my favorite products and why I love them, I'm going to get started with Lush!

Lush
It's no secret I'm a massive fan of Lush and the fact there a vegan company is just brill, I love how they are so positive and always look out the product animals. I wear my little Lush badge with pride and will always sign a petition they have on the go as it's such a respectable brand you can't go wrong to support them. They are always creating new products and coming out with more to make me go wow, and some of there classics are adored by me. I especially love Bright Side and Fizzbanger and will always reach for these two when I'm out and about shopping. The brand is perfect for any bath lover and they will always have a product in mind if you have no idea off what you are looking for.

The Body Shop
I will always be found mooching through the stock at The Body Shop as it's my go to place to visit if I am in need of a pamper or some advise on how to deal with a new breakout or problem I have with my skin. Again another vegan friendly brand they have a great reputation in being animal friendly and providing great products. My favorite products to pick up here are there face masks as they always have ones to suit any problem I have with my skin and they always have a new one out that I can't wait to try.

MAC
I have tried in the past to not fall in love with MAC as a brand as I don't really agree with there price tags or the fact there not animal friendly but I always find myself going back there. The make up is great from MAC and there foundation is the perfect match for me so I find myself in there every few months picking up my foundation. But the most talked about products from the store has to be there lipsticks and I have an ever growing range of there lipsticks and will always find one to go with my outfit or look there rather fab!

So those are my top three make up brand that I love and adore, please let me know in the comments what brands you love and adore!

Christmas Lips!

I recently did a Christmas nail post so thought I would also share what I'll be wearing on my lips this month over the Christmas period!

Carmex
I always get cracked and dry lips in winter as I always get colds, so I always need a really nice protecting lip product and this year I've been reaching for Carmex as it works really well against cracked dry lips but also adds a nice shine to the lip while having a nice subtle hint of honey which I really love.

Tanya Burr - Exotic Island
The lipgloss I've been lusting over has been the Tanya Burr Exotic Island as it add a lovely subtle rose hint to my lips while caring for them. It also has such a lovely scent to it that I'm always re applying and over using the product.

MAC - Rebel
When going for meals and events is always easy for me to reach for a more subtle lipstick but over the last few weeks I've been using my MAC Rebel lipstick which is a gorgeous deep dark purple which is perfect for anyone wanted to pull off a more edgy look this year.

Bellapierre - Mandarina
This shade of deep orange is perfect to add a pop of colour to an outfit I'm always reaching for it when I'm having a down day as I find it brightens up my face nicely and is perfect for trips out and about or even as an evening lipstick.

So those are my top picks for wintery Christmas lips this year, let me know what lipstick your lusting over this year!

Christmas Wishlist!

I thought I would share with you today all the item's I'm lusting over and would love to receive this Christmas, most of them I will probably buy after Christmas in the sales but some of them I've already wrote on a list so fingers crossed I get them. I hope you enjoy this post as it's one I've been reading loads off as I love reading other peoples wish lists!

Zoe Sugg and Pointless Blog Books
I've been following the two Youtubers for a while now and feel quite proud to see them getting so far in there Youtube career so when I heard about there books I thought it would be a lovely gift to get so I could support and also read what they have created. I can't wait to read Zoella's book as I've written one myself growing up so I would love to see her style of writing knowing she would of started like me. And of course I can't wait to draw and finish off the book Alfie has created I always find those style off books to be great coffee table books.

MAC Lipsticks
I've only got a small collection of MAC lipsticks and would love to add to it, as I'm very rarely shopping nowadays I've not been given to chance to check out some off the lines, so I've missed out on the Rocky Horror set and I'm also never able to take a look at the lipsticks anymore which was one of my favorite things to do when shopping. But for a while now I've been wanting Ruby Woo and Lady Danger so hopefully I will get some new ones this year.

American Horror Story and The Walking Dead
I'm so behind on the whole craze about these two boxsets so I've added them to my list in the hope to be able to catch up and join in on some of the juicy chats about the shows. I started watching The Walking Dead but after series one freeview decided that was that so I would love to finish the series. American Horror Story has been all over my social media sites and I can't wait to get into it as it seems like a great show!

Lush Gift Sets
This year I've had quite a few people ask me for some Lush gifts so while i've been shopping for them I seem to have forgotten myself so I'm hoping someone has taken note and has picked me up some goodies! I especially love the Snow Fairy scent as it's such an uplifting and girly scent that seems to fill my room and leave me all glittery which I love.

So that's it for my small Christmas wish list if you have done a post then leave it below for me to take a mooch out and look out for Friday's post which will be all about my Christmas decor this year!

AW14 Lips

I let you know the other day all about what nails I shall be wearing this AW so I thought I would let you know about the lip products I shall be reaching for over the next few months!

MAC Rebel
This product I wore last year pretty much everyday and I adore it, I wouldn't say it is easy to wear in summer so it tends to say away till my woolly hats come out then it's permanently out and about. It's a lovely rich deep purple shade that last's for ages on the lips, you can buy it in Debenhams, House Of Fraser and other departments store's for £15.50.

Jelly Pong Pong Cranberry
This red shade in my go to product when I'm out drinking it's a lovely matte red which last's a good while on the lips but also moisturisers them really well which I love, it's only available in two shades online from the Jelly Pong Pong website for £12.

Tanya Burr Exotic Island
This AW for lip gloss I'm going to be wearing my Tanya Burr Exotic Island as it's a great berry shade with I think would look good for meals out and events, it has a lovely scent and doesn't have a sticky residue on the lips which I love, it's available from Superdrug for £6.99.

Vaseline Paint The Town Red
For when my lips need a pamper and a bit of a rest I'm going to be using my Vaseline Paint The Town Red lip butter as it's the perfect pick me up product with a hint of red to create a nice subtle winter look, it was a limited edition but I'm sure it's back in stores like Boots and Superdrug for around £2.99.

What I Wore On My Face For A Wedding

I attended my sister's wedding last weekend and we had the pleasure of doing our own make up which I always love as I know my face better then a make up artist, I was really excited to get started and was quite happy with the results!

I started with my daily moisturiser my Soap and Glory one a nice safe option as I know it suits my make up nicely and doesn't give me breakout's so I went for that option. Next up I added my MAC Foundation and covered any blemishes with there creamy concealer, I always use MAC for special occasions as it covers my skin nicely giving me an even skin tone and also covers any dark areas or spots. I took away any shine my using MAC Powder which I always use if I know there's going to be loads of photo's as it gives me such a nice look.

For my eyes I used the MAC RiRi quad as I wanted to create a really nice natural look which I know looks good on photos. I used my Rimmel Scandaleyes to create long thick lashes and that's all I use for my eyes as I wanted a nice subtle yet noticeable eye and felt that the mascara really gave that look. For my eyebrow  I wanted a nice natural brow so went for my Soap and Glory Arch De Triumph as it's my daily brow pencil I felt confident using it to create a nice brow look.

For blusher I wanted a really light effect not to shocking but a light shimmer so I opted for MAC's Desert Rose as it's such a nice subtle shade and blends nicely with the rest of my make up, Last but not least I used Jelly Pong Pong's Lip Blush in the shade Cranberry, this create a nice red/orange shade on my lips and create the nice pop of colour with I needed with my more subtle make up look, it also matched my dress really well with I loved.
