Skincare | The Body Shop Mandarin Energising Face Mist

The Body Shop is a great high street brand that ranges with products for everyone, to use in the bath and shower as well as there great make up range there is something for everyone in The Body Shop. They are cruelty free and do a lot of products that are also vegan, as well as being affordable and available in most cities there a brilliant brand to go for.

Beauty | The Body Shop Matte Clay Foundation

The Body Shop make up is perfect for anyone looking for good quality high street make up that is affordable and works well. With it being cruelty free it's my first stop for when I'm looking for any new products, I went in to look for a new foundation and after speaking to a shop worker I left with the Matte Clay Skin Clarifying Foundation for just £10.

Beauty | The Body Shop White Musk Scent

One of my favorite beauty stores is of course The Body Shop they do amazing products which smell amazing and also a great range of fragrances, I'm yet to own one but I was luckily gifted White Musk on Christmas which excited me to now say I own a fragrance from The Body Shop.

Skincare - Aloe Soothing Night Cream by The Body Shop

I was given a pot of the best selling Aloe Soothing Night Cream by my mum as she has super sensitive skin and it irritated her, the pot I was given is a tiny 15ml sample one but the cream inside is well worth the review. I can really tell why it's a best seller as it works so well and has such a nice effect on the skin, the sample pot is perfect for travelling and I'll be saving it to place some more of the product in when I purchase the 50ml pot at £13.

Beauty - July Favorites

I can't remember the last time I did a July favorites post apart from my vlog ones which I try to mix up and add other items and not just beauty, so today I wanted to do a July favorites which just focusing on what beauty items I've been loving.

April 2015 Favorites

I feel like I haven't done a favorite for ages so thought it was about time I share with you all what I've been loving. There is quite a mix bag of items I've been loving but there all really great products that are well worth the hype.

Superdrug Anti Frizz Serum
My hair this month has just had the biggest meltdown and has gone really uncontrollable so I've had to use my anti frizz serum almost none stop over the last few weeks but I've been loving the effect it has on my hair. It makes me hair feel softer and gives it a little bounce for when I'm having a bad hair day, it's unscented and is a gel like texture which you only need a small amount of as a little goes a long way.

Product Empties March 2015

Over the last month or so I've had a lot of products I've used up and feel like I ought to do a product empties post to let you know if the products are any good and if I'm going to be buying them again.

The Body Shop Mango Scrub
The scent of this product is my favorite aspect as it is really fresh and fruity making me want to use the product over and over. The texture is dry and really scrubs into the skin well removing any dead skin and making it easy to buff the area. I've loved using this product and had the intention of buying a new one but when I went into the store I noticed the Early Harvest Raspberry scrub and picked up one of those instead. The product is £13 for a large tube and around £6 for the mini.

Sanex Dermo Sensitive Deodorant
This is the first deo that I have tried from the brand Sanex and I was really impressed, as I have really sensitive armpits I have to go for ones that don't harm my skin but they tend to be not as good as other brands. However this deo works well for keeping my sensitive down and keeping me smelling fresh throughout the day, I'm really impressed with this product and shall be picking up a new one as there only around £2 in stores like Bodycare.

MAC Natural Radiance Serum Sample
I've never got a sample from MAC before so I was really surprised to get one in my bag on my last visit, the sample I got was Natural Radiance Serum to put under my foundation to help keep it in place longer. I was impressed with the product as it went on well and soaked in nicely while holding my make up in place all day, however for me the price is a little to much and I find my MUA serum works just as well so sadly I won't be purchasing the full sized product but do recommend it.

Sally Hansen Moisturising Polish Remover
I've always raved about this brand of polish remover and always love how it removes the nail varnish off my nails and keep them in such great condition. It has a mild scent and it doesn't take to much of the product to remove nail varnish off my nails so for me this is my favorite brand to go for when buying a new polish remover, at only £2.49 it's a great buy that I shall be repurchasing.

Dove 2in1 Daily Care Shampoo and Conditioner
I love this shampoo and conditioner as it works so well at keeping my hair clean and soft while being such a quick and easy to use product. The scent is fresh and stays in my hair all day while I only need a small amount of the product to create a really thick lather to wash my hair in, it's a really great product to use and only costs around £2 in Bodycare so it's one I shall be picking up again.

Sensodyne Rapid Relief Toothpaste
I've been using this brand of toothpaste for around 2 years now and always replace the toothpaste when I have run out as it works so well at keeping my teeth sensitive free and with a mint fresh feeling. I do find however it is a little expensive as a small tube cost £2.49 and that's from Bodycare I have however already replace the product as I love it so much.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish
It feels like I've had this little sample for ages and I'm pretty sure I have, the main reason being is that it's one I use and then kind of forget about. It works really well as cleansing and my skin feels great after but it's the kind of product you just forget to use and don't go back to. It is rather pricey but works great so it's worth the money you pay £26 but for me I just wasn't to over wowed so I won't be buying a new one just yet.

One Direction One Moment Perfume
This perfume was one of those buys I never thought I would make as I'm not the biggest fan of One Direction but they do make a brilliant perfume. I brought it ages ago around a year ago and have used it as an everyday perfume since purchasing it for around £25, it has such a nice girly scent and I always get compliments when wearing it but due the fact I have seven other perfumes on the go I can't buy a new one just yet however once I've got through a few more perfumes I shall be buying a new one!

So that's it for this post, what have you used up this month?

The Body Shop Early Harvest Raspberry Body Scrub

While browsing the sale in my local Body Shop store I came across the Early Harvest Raspberry body scrub and because I was after a new one I picked up it, not realising just how much I would love this product!

The scent is so overpowering and sickly that it's really good smelling just like jam with far to much sugar in, I'm addicted to the scent and love going back into the bathroom after using it as it lingers for ages making the room smell incredibly. It also last's for a while on the skin but not to strong which is not to good as I would love to have the scent all day and night on my skin.

The texture is a really thick jammy texture that is cool and refreshing while gliding onto the skin, not to sticky but it has enough jammyness that it feels like rubbing jam on the skin. It also has exfoliating beads in making it a scrub, there not to harsh and don't scratch the skin but do a good job off removing dead skin and leaving the skin feeling soft and smooth.

The only thing I would say is I used it in the bath at first and loved it but after using it in the shower on damp skin rather then soaking wet skin I adored it. It works well on skin that has been in water and left to dry a little before using so you can really work the product in, however it does work well both ways so you can use it in the bath or shower.

The price for a big tub is £13 but at the moment in the sale it's only £6.50, as it is in the sale I'm not sure if it will be available to buy much longer as it's already gone from the website! What's your favorite purchase from The Body Shop?

An Updated Skin Care Routine

I did a post like this a while ago but feel like I have updated it enough to update you and feel like the products I use would be beneficial to others. My skin type is oily and I tend to use products to help with that or ones that work well even if they don't stay there for oily skin, I also have problems with spots so my product tend to be aim at for teenagers so this is a useful post for any oily skinned people or teenagers!

To start I cleanse my face with Bioderma cleanser which is a brilliant product to get rid of any make up or dirt on the face. I normally double cleanse to really get into my pores and to really strip away at anything on my skin, I find Bioderma is the best product I've use to take my make up off as it none scented and is quite pure it's not damaging for the skin. Next up I use my Body Shop Tea Tree Face Wash which is perfect for anyone with spot prone skin as it's got Tea Tree Oil in it really works hard to get at the spots which I love, it is really strong scented but it does help to get at the spots and to clear the skin.

If I have any spots that I just think I need to get rid of it as soon as possible I will use my Benefit Boo Boo Zap but only on really bad spots, which I don't tend to get as I use the Face Wash which I find clears the spots nicely. But this is a brilliant product which clears to spots overnight and works extremely well, it is however a little harsh on the skin and I would recommend not over doing it with this spot treatment as it can be very damaging.

Now it's time for the moisturisng which is my favorite part as it help me to wind down and relax my skin the one I use is The Body Shop Vitamin E cream for all skin types. This cream smells lovely as it has a really relaxing rose scent and is quite a thick yet fast soaking product I find it covers my face with a few small dabs and sinks in nicely. Last but not least I use an eye roll on to help cool and revitalize my eyes I use the one form Simple as I know it won't contain anything to nasty or damaging and I know it will work well. It helps to cool the eyes and tightens them a little to make your eyes look fresh and awake.

Once a week I tend to use a face mask and I have two really great ones which I use a lot one of which is the Superdrug own brand mask which is an oil balancing face mask which a great mask for oily skin and for spot prone skin, as it is a fast soaking mask it's a really quick 3 minute rinse off mask which I love to use when I'm in a hurry but need a pick me up. I also use Superdrug own brand Witch Hazel mud mask which is perfect for spot prone skin and is a rather fun mask to use, as it soaks into the skin it's really easy to remove and make my skin look bright and really works hard on spots so I always grab this mask if I want a nice pamper evening.

So that's it for my skin care routine, let me know your favorite product to use daily?

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash

As many of you know by now I really suffer with breakouts and have been suffering since my teens, trying to find the right product has been so difficult but I recently tried a new facial wash and have seen a great change in my skin. The Body Shop is a lovely cruelty free shop which do some fab products for skin care, baths and also do make up.

Tea Tree is a great product to use on the skin to clear breakouts and to get a healthy look to the skin so the label really drew me in and I couldn't wait to give it a whirl. I use it daily in the shower and have been using it for around six months now, I've just started my second bottle before realising I still hadn't done a review!

I brought it in the summer when I had an awful breakout but my skin has been manageable while using the product over the last few months. I now only get a few small breakouts and the odd one or two odd spot here and there but nothing to major.

The product at first appears quite strong and almost to much for the skin but after you get used to the scent the product is quite nice and refreshing. It's a normal gel like liquid which is easy to rub onto the face, I find it easier to just use my hands instead of a cloth or sponge as it goes on easier and feels nicer on the skin.

The facial wash is only £5 which is a great price to pay for a 250ml bottle as it lasts for ages a good 5 months when using it daily as you only need a small amount, you can't really go wrong if you have blemished skin!

My Three Favorite Beauty Brands

Today post is going to be a look at my three favorite beauty brands and a lot at my favorite products and why I love them, I'm going to get started with Lush!

Lush
It's no secret I'm a massive fan of Lush and the fact there a vegan company is just brill, I love how they are so positive and always look out the product animals. I wear my little Lush badge with pride and will always sign a petition they have on the go as it's such a respectable brand you can't go wrong to support them. They are always creating new products and coming out with more to make me go wow, and some of there classics are adored by me. I especially love Bright Side and Fizzbanger and will always reach for these two when I'm out and about shopping. The brand is perfect for any bath lover and they will always have a product in mind if you have no idea off what you are looking for.

The Body Shop
I will always be found mooching through the stock at The Body Shop as it's my go to place to visit if I am in need of a pamper or some advise on how to deal with a new breakout or problem I have with my skin. Again another vegan friendly brand they have a great reputation in being animal friendly and providing great products. My favorite products to pick up here are there face masks as they always have ones to suit any problem I have with my skin and they always have a new one out that I can't wait to try.

MAC
I have tried in the past to not fall in love with MAC as a brand as I don't really agree with there price tags or the fact there not animal friendly but I always find myself going back there. The make up is great from MAC and there foundation is the perfect match for me so I find myself in there every few months picking up my foundation. But the most talked about products from the store has to be there lipsticks and I have an ever growing range of there lipsticks and will always find one to go with my outfit or look there rather fab!

So those are my top three make up brand that I love and adore, please let me know in the comments what brands you love and adore!

Nutriganics Smoothing Mask Review

I'm still yet to find the right face mask for me so I went on the hunt just before I started Christmas shopping and came across one from The Body Shop Nutriganics range. It's a simple smoothing face mask made for people who are showing the first signs of ageing, which I know I'm only 23 and i'm not showing any signs of ageing yer but I thought it was a great mask to go for after taking a small sample and testing it out it seems to work well for my skin type.

It has a nice simple plain scent almost quite Earthy with small hints of herbs which I liked a lot as I'm not a fan of strong scented products. As it has a nice relaxing plain scent it makes it quite relaxing to use and almost soothed me into a nice relaxing pampered mood, it also helped to clear my head and as it's quite a cold soothing texture my skin felt amazing.

To use the product it was nice and simple, you just apply it to clean skin and leave on for 10 minutes before cleansing off. I find it goes on quite thick and paste like and it means it sinks in a little bit and add's a lovely moistured feel to the skin but means it stays working throughout the full 10 minutes and doesn't sink it all the way.

My skin after felt and looked glowing, the product has worked wonders on making my skin look fresher. I doesn't say how often you should use the product but I use it twice a week and find it works well at keeping my skin looking fresher and brighter.

The Body Shop do a great range off Against Animal Cruelty products and this mask has no parabens or silicones which is great and it also has 98% of ingredients from a natural origin. The mask is £16 and comes in a 100ml plastic pot and lasts for 12 months, you can purchase it online or in stores!

The Body Shop Satsuma Hand Cream

As you may all be aware now my favorite scent is orange/citrus and I adore any products with the scent and will most buy or own them. While I was Christmas shopping in The Body Shop I came across there Satsuma Hand Cream and of course picked up the little tube of joy!

The scent is really strong and once smoothed onto my hands it tends to linger and stay smelling really strong for a good hour or two which I love. It smooths into the hands with no troubles and sinks in nicely leaving you with soft pampered hands with no sticky residue. I always love the handy tubes as they are the perfect handbag sized tubes that fit into any sized bag, they always seems easier to use as well as you just need to squeeze the tube a little to get a small pea sized blob of cream which is enough to cover my hands nicely.

The 30ml tube is available in stores or online for £3.50 which is a perfect price to pay for such a lovely scented hand cream!

100% Natural Lip Roll-On

I brought this product around two weeks ago in Brighton and have loved using it, I brought it from The Body Shop and found it at the counter so i'm pretty sure it's a new product as my local store doesn't stock it yet. In total there are 5 different scents Coconut, Berry, Mint, Rose and the one I have Orange and at £4 there a great buy, I would love to try out Rose as I've never tried a lip product in that scent before.

To apply the product it's like any normal lip balm except it's a metal roll on which is quite cool so ideal for summer use, the product is quite sticky but goes on nicely. The scent is strong but doesn't taste to strong (it was by accident I tasted it!) and I found it left my lips really fuller and softer straight away which really impressed me.

The product is 100% natural including using soya to soften the lips and keep them kissable all year round!

Oooh I Was Born Lippy!

My lips always need a bit of care as I always forget to apply a nice balm instead it's lipstick's and glosses meaning they never get a good pamper, but I picked up a new lip balm around 3 weeks ago from Brighton at The Body Shop and after using it once I've used it every night before bed and when I wake up in the morning as I love it so much!

The scent is pink berry flavor and it smells amazing a little bit like strawberry milkshake which is a lovely scent. The texture is not to sticky but it does have a bit of a dewy feeling to it, I would also like to point out a little goes a long way as I found I only needed to use a bit and it worked amazingly but if I use to much I was a glossy mess with far to much on my lips.

It always leaves my lips really hydrated and soft and takes a while to soak in which I really like, it cost's just £3 and comes in 6 different scents.

The Body Shop Hair Chalk Review

I've been dying to try out something new in my hair as a previous hair dyer my hair was so damaged I've not been able to do much with it for ages, so when I saw a review for hair chalks I was really excited. They cost £5 each and come in pots of 3.8g from The Body Shop.

The pot are quite small and tricky to use but as it's a chalk it went all over my hands which would of been ok but it doesn't wash off as well as when washing my hair. It went on nicely though and was bright and a nice shade, I used a towel on my shoulders as I didn't want chalk to get on my clothes and then I brush any loose chalk out as well as spitzing it with hair spray. Did it work? No.

I was left with chalk everywhere and by the end of the night it was on my clothes, my pillow, my neck and anything I touched. For me it's an awful product and I won't be using the blue shade as I don't want to walk around looking like a smurf, and to top it off at the end of the night it had faded to a dark red.

The Body Shop Marshmallow Blusher

I'm a massive fan off The Body Shop blushers as there make up range is quite small and manageable it's easy to make a decision and also quite dangerous as you can come out of the store with loads! I picked up a new blusher which is a shade lighter then my favorite shade bubblegum, as summer is on it's way I needed a lighter shade then my current one so it didn't stand out to much on my face so I went for Marshmallow!

It comes in a cute handy sized pot with a clear lid there 4g of product and it cost's £8 to buy, there's only 7 shades to chose from! I found it was really easy to blend and it had a really nice build able coverage which didn't fade or lose it's colour throughout the day.

I also love the fact The Body Shop sell animal cruelty free products and they have some great ingredients in there make up, in my new blushers there's added vitamin e and marula oil. It's an all round great product and I'm sure soon enough I'll have all 7 shades from the collection!

The Body Shop Foaming Bath Powder

I bought this product is The Body Shop 50% of sale a few months back for £1.50, it comes in a drawstring back which is handy and cute, you get 60g of powder which is a Soya Milk Foaming Bath Powder. I am a massive fan of The Body  Shop as they make such amazing smelling products which are all against animal testing, they also sell affordable goodies and some amazing gift sets for Christmas. Not to forget there fantastic January sale they always have!

To use the Foaming Bath Powder you just swirl a tablespoon under a running tap, once it gets going you get some lovely bubbles and a lovely light foam across the bath water. The best thing I noticed about this product is it left my skin feeling really soft and nourished as I have sensitive skin this product is lovely for my bath. The bubbles did die down after around 10 minutes but I think if you add a bit more then a tablespoon you get a load more bubbles, as I tend to sprinkle a bit more into my bath after the tablespoon.

This product is great but I'm not sure if it is still available as it was in the clearance sale!

Lily Cole Liquid Eyeliner Review

I picked up this item from Helsinki's Body Shop for One euro (86p) you get 3ml of purple liquid eyeliner. I really like the packaging of the product it was cute yet sophisticated and the little tube fits well into my make up case.

Applying the product was rather easy I found the eyeliner to be a little watery so I was able to smudge and blend well, the product does come out rather light and almost looks blue in certain lights. I found it was easier to apply when I used eye shadow first as it caught any over smudging, I found the eyeliner stayed on all day and didn't fade or get messy.

I really liked this product and may have to have a little mooch if the sale is still on to see if I can find any more products from the Lily Cole range!

I Went Shopping!

I was walking round my local shopping centre when I noticed Body Shop were having a sale with up to 50% of certain items, so I had a little wonder in and was quite impress with some of the prices. I picked up to new shower gel's in Raspberry and Blueberry scent for just £2 each! They have a lovely summer scent to them, extremely fruity almost overpowering. I also picked up an item I had not seen before Foaming Bath Powder for just £1.50, it comes in a cute drawstring bag and you get 60g of powder, it doesn't really have a scent but I love bubbles and all things fun in the bath!

Whilst I was in Helsinki I stopped of at the Body Shop there and was able to pick up a Lily Cole purple eyeliner for just one Euro, I have small brown almond shaped eyes and am hoping this product will give them the little pop they need. I also fell in love with a soap over in Helsinki from the company Lemon Juice and Glycerine and was quite happy to spot a hand cream by the same company in the same scent for around two Euro's, the smell is divine so sugary and sweet and it soften's my hands nicely. I kind of wished I had picked up around 20 little tubes!

On one of my recent trips to TKMaxx I was on the hunt for a new perfume and picked up a Christine Aguilera one for £9.99 it has quite a nice musky scent and is rather sophisticated but I really liked it as its quite different to the girly fragrances I usually go for, it came with a free lipgloss by Maxfactor which I wasn't overly impressed by but as it was a freebie I can't really complain much! I also picked up a beauty blender for £4.99 by the company Earth Therapeutics the design is great for me and I really enjoy using blenders, this one is bright pink which is always a bonus.

Lastly, I picked up a magazine called Red mainly due to the fact they had a Ren freebie, in the resealable pack I received a Day cream, night cream and a cleansing gel. I think buying magazine's each month with great samples in is a great way to test out item's you can't really afford. I have been wanted to try some Ren products but was unsure of the price now I can test them out to see if my skin is right for the full sized products. I think the magazine was around £3.50.

But sadly I am now on a spending ban as part of my diet, unless I lose the weight I can't spend any money!
