Lush Luxury Pud Review

This product has had some stick due to the fact the little coloured circles seem to fall out of the bomb before you've even left the shop, I didn't have the problem so maybe they improve the bomb just before I brought it!

The scent is a lavender one a nice flowery scent with hints of citrus, I loved the pastel colours and the adorable holly on the top of the bath bomb. Once the bath bomb was placed in the water is started to fizz really fast and lasted around 3 minutes leaving behind a deep dark purple water and some small little round colourful circles which took a few more minutes to dissolve then the main bomb.

I was really impressed by this product and would highly recommend it!

November Magazine Freebies

This month I was extremely impressed with the magazine freebies and managed to get my hands on 3 of the great products on offer. I picked up Elle, Glamour and Cosmopolitan priced between £2-£4, I thought I would do a review on the products I received!

Kate Spade Nails Inc in shade Noir - Glamour £2
The shade is a lovely black and comes in a lovely 10ml pot with a silver lid. I was impressed with the way the polish went on and stayed on my nails for up to three days before getting to chipped I had to remove it. Overall I love Nails Inc products and love the new Kate Spade range.

Benefit Coralista - Elle £4
I was really shocked to see a Benefit freebie and couldn't wait to try out Coralista, the lipgloss comes in a 6.5ml tube with a great Coralista logo. The shade is very natural for a coral and comes out nice and glossy with a lovely finish on my lips.

Orly Nail Lacquer in shade Hair Band - Cosmopolitan £3.60
I have heard of Orly before but never tried out there products, I was impressed with how glitterly this shade was and how it stays glittery on my nails instead of clumping up like other ones I've used. It stayed on my nails for a good 3-5 days before I needed to remove it. I can't wait to try out some more from the Orly nail range!

MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick - Zen Rose Review

I went shopping recently and stopped of at my local MAC counter in the search for a lip product that wasn't to drying for winter as I don't want my lips to crack. So I asked at the the counter and was told about the Sheen Supreme Lipsticks which are lightweight and non sticky but also hydrate your lips. So I had a look at the collection they had and settled on Zen Rose a lovely dark fuchsia pink, which I later found out is not part of the 21 piece collection but it's not classed as a limited edition lipstick.

It lasts for around 4-5 hours before the need to re apply, I also found it didn't dry my lips out as the sales assistant said it wouldn't. The colour is great on my lips it comes out as the colour I swatched which I don't seem to find happens with other lipsticks. I also love the packaging for the Sheen's as it comes in a metal packet and not the plastic ones I also love the fact its quite slimline.

Overall I really love this product and will be having a look at the other shades to top up my MAC collection pretty soon!

Save The Blow Dry Shower Cap Review*

I was sent a lovely flowery shower cap to review from the company Save The Blow Dry  a Moisture Eliminating Queen of Shower Caps! I was extremely excited to receive this product as I frequently have hair disasters and was really looking forward to trying it out, I was not disappointed!

The look of the shower cap is girly and really cute with loads of bows it's also all pink and cute which I love. The shower cap is in two layers a micro weave towel which zaps humidity and condensation, then a Protective Outer which is phalate free to stop your hair form getting wet, creating the Save The Blow Dry Shower Cap!

The way the cap works is after styling you pop it on your head and go into the bathroom to have a shower but instead of coming out with loose unstyled damp hair the super absorbent micro weave will have stopped any water or condensation getting to your locks leaving your hair dry and bouncy just as it was before you put the cap on.

So does it work? Absolutely! I was extremely impressed with the results.

Save The Blow Dry also donate to the charity Khandel Light to improve the lives of communities in and around Khandel, India

To purchase a shower cap they are available from the Save The Blow Dry website for £14.95!
*I was sent this product to review however all the words in this review are my own and have not been influenced.

Primark Haul

So I've finally stopped my spending ban and was able to have a mooch at Primark picking up some lovely goodies!

I finally found and picked up a tartan scarf for £4 it's a lovely woolen material and is perfect for Winter, I also picked up this amazing Christmas jumper for £12, my sister and brother have ones to!

For Winter I picked up so blue cookie monster slippers for £4, my favorite candle of all time Blueberry and Blossom is a three wick tin for £3.50, a vaseline tin as a Christmas present for £4.50, Some tweezers for £1 as mine were rather blunt now and these ones came in such a cute spot design, Lastly I picked up some cheesy Christmas earrings for £2.

I had a great time shopping and would love to see if you brought any nice items from Primark, please link me to your blog posts!

Sleek's Life's A Peach Review

I was after a new blusher as I only really only rose ones and wanted to branch out a bit more and go for a orange toned one. So I opted for Life's A Peach by Sleek which is available at Superdrug for £4.49, there are around 6-10 shades in the range but they go from bright to dark tones and are at a great price as you get a lovely slimline case with a great mirror in, perfect for your hand bag!

The colour is a shocking orange which can be off putting but the shade actually comes out lovely and light, it is just a matte colour with no added sparkles or shine. It seems to last a good deal of the day for me around 4-8 hours depending what I'm doing and on the weather.

The shade is a rather summery shade but I do find it perfect for nights out and it can work well as a daily blush, I also love the overall finish the product it gives me a sharp look to my rather round face. What's your favorite Blusher you are loving at the moment?

Blogmas!

I was thinking about doing Blogmas for a while so when I sent out a tweet asking if anyone else was interested the lovely Nicole got in touch to say she was organising a Blogmas project which I decided to join. I also have my Boots Beauty Calendar which I will be sharing with you daily .

We will also be using the hashtag #bigblogmasproject on twitter!

Rimmel Apocalips Nova Review

I've heard about the Apocalips for a while now and never got round to buying one but in the Superdrug 3 for 2 offer on all cosmetics I bit up shade Nova, which is a girly pink shade. The first thing I noticed about the product is it has a funny smell to it kind of like Kiwi and Strawberry, it's not advertised to have a scent but it's a nice little bonus as the scent is quite nice.

The shade is very girly as it's a nice pale pink which is rather summery and cute, the texture is light and doesn't feel to sticky. I had around 3 hours wear before I felt the need to re apply, but saying that I only needed one coat on my bottom lip as its quite a nice large brush which holds the product well.

The Apocalips are available at Superdrug and Boots for £5.99 and come in around 10 shades, I was really impressed with mine and can see what the hype is about!

The Body Shop Foaming Bath Powder

I bought this product is The Body Shop 50% of sale a few months back for £1.50, it comes in a drawstring back which is handy and cute, you get 60g of powder which is a Soya Milk Foaming Bath Powder. I am a massive fan of The Body  Shop as they make such amazing smelling products which are all against animal testing, they also sell affordable goodies and some amazing gift sets for Christmas. Not to forget there fantastic January sale they always have!

To use the Foaming Bath Powder you just swirl a tablespoon under a running tap, once it gets going you get some lovely bubbles and a lovely light foam across the bath water. The best thing I noticed about this product is it left my skin feeling really soft and nourished as I have sensitive skin this product is lovely for my bath. The bubbles did die down after around 10 minutes but I think if you add a bit more then a tablespoon you get a load more bubbles, as I tend to sprinkle a bit more into my bath after the tablespoon.

This product is great but I'm not sure if it is still available as it was in the clearance sale!

What's In My Bathroom Cabinet

I use quite a range of product daily and most of them are stored in my bathroom cabinet so today I thought I would show you what I use daily.

Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash
I love how this product leaves my skin feeling and how nice it smells, I've been using this body wash for around 2 months now and I still have around half the bottle left. It cost around £8 for 500ml from Boots.

I also have my exfoliating gloves and my flannel, I use my flannel daily with my Body Wash and my gloves weekly with the Body scrub usually in the bath.

Sensodyne Rapid Relief
I picked this toothpaste up after I started getting really sensitive teeth and liked the name of the toothpaste so went for it, it cost around £4 for a tube but I was able to pick it up on special offer. I wouldn't say I have noticed a difference with how my teeth feel so probably won't be repurchasing.

I also have a foot scrubs as I hate seeing dead skin on people feets so I always make sure mine are well scrubbed, and there also my toothbrush and razor.

Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo and Conditioner
I've only been using this product for around a month and love the results I get, the brand is quite expensive around £4 per bottle but my hair feels great and it has a lovely smell to it to.

Vaseline Spray and Go
Its a great product if you are in a rush in the morning you can literally spray and go, I love the range you get and Vaseline has always been a brand I trust so I couldn't wait to try these products out. I have used my bottle for around 2 months and it doesn't seem to be running out yet,

Simply Pure Face Mask
I love this mask, I picked it up for 30p in the clearance sale at Superdrug and wish I had picked up around 30 tubes! It has no added nasties and goes on for 3 minutes so is quick and easy to use. But to top if off it has great results my skin feels like it has had the best pick me up any skin could wish for!

Nip + Fab Mango Smoothie
I use this after every bath I have, after getting a small pot in a Glossybox I just had to go out a buy a large tub. As I normally hate Mango smelling products this one was a lovely surprise and it goes on so thick and soothes my skin nicely after a hot bath.

Soap and Glory Hand Food
After I apply my make up in the morning I always like to apply some hand cream especially in the winter nights and mornings as my hands always feel so dry and sore. I like this one from Soap and Glory due to its smell and my hands always feel pampered after using it.

Minis!
At the moment I have a really good skincare routine using my Tea Tree and Witch Hazel products from Boots, but I also have loads of minis that are just left in a unused Glossybox. So this month I have been using up all my minis including Urban Veda Facial Polish, Harmony Serum, Clinique UV damage Corrector and Elemis Melting Cleansing Gel.

I hope you liked this little post and as I am a very nosey person please link me to your bathroom cabinet posts!

Barry M Red Wine Review

As soon as Autumn arrives more and more brands bring out some great little item's which are perfect for the season, I love walking down the aisles in shops to see what new or old products are appearing on the shelves. One item I noticed was the Barry M Red Wine nail varnish at £3.99 there always a great buy, I went for a normal paint instead of an effect one as I prefer the natural shine and gloss you get from the originals.

Red Wine is a really deep red which goes on well after two coats, it stays on for around 4-7 days and comes of well if you have a decent base coat on I also like the fact it didn't stain or leave me nails looking chipped or dry. I think this nail varnish is perfect for going out as an alternative to the red or black nails most people go for, it's also great for a special occasion as it add a bit of class.

What are your favorite Autumn/Winter nail varnishes?

MUA The Artiste Collection

I picked up this multi use palette as I loved the marbled eyeshadows which you get 6 of but included in the palette is 2 blushers, a highlighter and a bronzer. It cost around £4-£6 as I picked it up a few months ago it isn't a new release anymore but it was when I purchased it, I love to use MUA products as there are always so good as so cheap as well as having a great range which most recently got moved to its own stand and not a spinning stand which got placed wherever Superdrug had space!

The Marbled effect eyeshadows are great looking and come out lovely you get Pistachio, Mocca, Ice, Grape, Chocolate and Cookie.

The two blushers are lovely shades of pink called Pink Sparkle and Primrose.

Lastly the highlighter is called Shimmer Kiss and the bronzer is called a simply Bronzed.

I think this collection is perfect for people who have just started to be more adventurous with makeup or someone who travels a lot can have all the necessary makeup tools right here in this palette. If it's still available in MUA I would definitely pick it up!

High Street Vs. Fashion - Brushes

Makeup brushes are essential to getting the right look and there are quite a few to choose from today I'll be looking at Primark's and Real Techniques. I'll be rating them out of 5 points and seeing who wins at the end!

Cost
Primark brushes cost a very small price tag of £1.50 and Real Techniques are price at around £9. Over all Primark wins as there is a massive price difference.

Packaging
Primark brushes comes in a plastic packet and Real Techniques comes in a clear box. I much prefer the Real Techniques packaging due to the fact is more secure and looks loads better.

Performance
The Primark brushes work really well they blend great and don't leave brush marks as well as not losing bristles, the same can be said about Real Techniques! So this one is very hard but I do prefer the feel of Primarks brushes there a lot softer.

Design
Real Techniques have long easy to use design with different colours for all the different brushes and they have there logo on the side of each brush. Primark have the same black and silver design for all there brushes which lets it down a lot. The top of the brushes have really soft bristles and make them a lot nicer to use which is on both brushes. I much prefer the look of Real Techniques.

Collection
Primark have around 4 brushes to choice from and Real Techniques have around 10-15 to chose from so it has a rather large collection compared to Primark.

So overall it turned out Real Techniques is better then Primark brushes!

Aussie Miracle Moist Review

I was after a new shampoo and conditioner range so I went into my local boots and picked up Aussie in the mini's set. As I always hear good reviews I thought I would give it a go and see what they were like, my mini's lasted around 2-3 weeks which gave me a good chance to see if I actually liked the product which it turned out I did so I purchased the full sized bottles at my local Superdrug as they were half price!

I love the smell of this product is has a bubblegum smell which I think is quite nice, they also have really good bottle designs as it nice and slim it fits into my cabinet with no problems. After I have washed and conditioned my hair it always really extremely soft and brushes through a lot easier then with other product's I've used in the past.

Aussie has some great products and has a huge range compared to other brands, I can't wait to try out there 3 minute miracle or there leave in conditioner.

Max Factor Facefinity 3 in 1 Foundation Review

I picked up this foundation after running out of my Body Shop one, I would of re purchased but I didn't feel like the coverage of the Body Shop Foundation so I went on the hunt for a new foundation and picked up Max Factor's BB cream in Light Ivory. I have very fair skin in winter and autumn so I need to be really careful about foundations and which ones I pick up.

The design on the bottle is nice although it is glass so for traveling I will have to be careful but it has a pump top and a plastic lid. For £12.99 you get 30ml and it also has spf 20, as it's a BB cream you get Primer, Concealer and Foundation in one which for me is great as in the morning I only have around 15 minutes to do my hair and makeup so having a BB cream is perfect for me.

The texture of the foundation is quite light which came as a massive surprise but it goes on well as has a great buildable coverage, I tested it out and got to three coats before it become to thick and a bit orange so I usually have two coats on and I feel like my make up is perfect for me. It last's all day which is great if I'm doing a 7 hour shift at work, going out it shoots well for photo's but I'm not sure if it will replace my MAC make up for going out!

Over all I think this foundation is great and is perfect for my life style.

Little Mix Press On Nails Review and Giveaway!

I had been on the hunt for the Little Mix nail art sets for ages as I had seen them in the Superdrug magazine and thought they looked pretty good, but after searching and waiting for the new line to be released I had no luck. But I recently was looking in my local Body Care and came across the Press On Nails sets so picked up the Jade set.

In the sets you get 24 nails in different sizes, a nail file and adhesive tabs. The Jade set is a simple black design with added gold designs. The overall quality of the nails is very good they are strong and well put together, the design is great and very chic. The tabs were odd as they are really like tabs they are just glue blobs that you apply to your nails before applying the nail, but it holds well and lasts quite a few days. I got three days were out of the nails before they began to fall off.

As I like the nails so much I wanted to allow one of my readers a chance to try them out, so I will be holding a UK giveaway you just need to fill in the Rafflecopter below for your chance to win a Perrie set!

Weigh In October

My first month on my diet wasn't the best I must admit I fell back into bad habit's after a few days and then found it hard to go back onto my diet so I wasn't expecting to of lost any weight at all. My goal for this month was a stone in weight I weighed myself this morning and I was 14 stone, meaning I have lost 8lbs. Which I am extremely happy about and feel really proud, it may not of been the stone I was after but it will do!

I feel more awake then I usually would and have a bit more energy as well as my clothes not feeling snug anymore. I have also noticed my skin has cleared up which is great news and I always have trouble with spots. The only downside is I am craving so much junk food and really want a glass of coke which I knew would be hard to give up but I didn't realise it would be so bad!

So for November I will be adding 'fast' days into my diet, so for 4 days I will be sticking to my 1500 calories and then for 3 days I will be only having 500 calories! Which sounds scary but it is a well known diet known as the 4:3 diet. A lot of people have seen some great results and I can not wait to see what effects it will have on me.

So my target for next month is to weigh in at 13st 4lb which is a 10 pound weight loss.
