My Holiday To Helsinki!

My trip to Helsinki was amazing! The weather was fantastic and there was so much to do, I flew with Finnair who are a low budget airline company offering flights to Europe and connection flight's to the rest of the world. It was a 2 hour 45 minute flight and I was extremely impressed with how the flight ran. When I arrived in Helsinki the weather was 25 degrees and stay like that for my whole holiday (thankfully).

There was loads to do I visited loads of Museums my favorite being the Kiasma Museum which was a Contemporary Art Museum, It feature a room full of Art by a bloke called Dan Perjovschi, I was extremely impressed by his work. I also went to a Zoo on an island called Korkeasaari which was an amazing zoo with Bears and Reindeer, on the way back I also got the boat across which stop of at an impressive flea market.

My hostel was a central one by the name of Kongressikoti, which was fantastic. I had a single room with shared shower and toilet, it was all clean and run well, with some great extra's (a hairdryer yay!). On the last night I was able to visit a bar owned my one of my favorite drummer's Jussi 69 from The 69 Eyes, I was so over excited even though he wasn't there I turned into a kid at Christmas! I also watched a live band by the name of Private Line, even though it was all in Finnish it was still great!

So hopefully that gave you an idea of what I got up to! If you are thinking of visiting Finland/Helsinki feel free to ask me any questions, I can hopefully help you out =]

Lush's Fizzbanger Review

I was so intrigued by the Fizzbanger Bath bomb from Lush that I was happy to not be let down when using it this week!

The first thing was it was super fast around the bath and just kept fizzing from one side to the other, which was great for letting out some amazing bubble's. It also had amazing sweet smell almost like caramel which was lovely as I don't like many caramel smelling product's. I also really enjoyed the popping candy noise which lasted my entire bath! It was really great and just added that extra kick to a really fun bath.

The best thing I loved about it was the colour's. At first I thought it was going to be a normal yellow bath bomb but half way through this lovely deep blue colour came out of the bomb making the water go a fantastic green.

I wouldn't say this was a relaxing product or one to do much to your skin but if you are still a big kid at heart I would 100% buy this product, I can not wait to go back to Lush and pick up a few more. At only £3.20 you can't go wrong!

April Favorite's 2013

I only have a small list for my April favorites, but they have all been great product's they I have already re purchases or there on my shopping list.

The first product I loved was the Nip and Fab Mango Smoothie, I love this product so much, It goes on so well and keep's my skin feeling refreshed all day. The smell is so intense and lasts all day, for a full size pot it costs £5.90 or you can get a small pot for £2.95. I re brought a pot after getting one in my Glossybox, I brought one from TXMaxx for a fraction of the original price!

My next favorite product is the MUA Eye shadow palette Dusk Till Dawn, I've not found a palette that I've liked all the shades of until I picked this one up. Some are matte while other have specks of glitter in and they go on so well, they are super easy to blend and are great for daytime/evening wear. It cost £4.00 from Superdrug for 12 different colours.

I've also just started using my collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer, I was using the stick version but picked up the liquid one a few weeks ago and it work's so well. It goes on great and blends in nicely, I also don't have to reapply during the day. It cost £4.19 from boots.

Lastly I've been loving the vo5 shampoo range, I'm currently using the Nourish Me Truly pink bottle and can't seem to fault it. I was also is Boot's the other day and noticed they had a buy one get one free offer on the shampoo range so I picked up 2 more bottles! They only cost £3.99 and leave my hair feeling great.

Do you have your April favorite's up yet? Leave me the link!

My Make Up Routine SS13

At the moment I think I have a pretty good make up routine all apart from my foundation which I can't seem to get right, I picked up an adorable tin from Paperchase for £5, It is quite small and only just fit's all my item's in but it's to cute to replace.

I start by using my MUA primer which I picked up after reading on Sprinkleofglitter's Blog, it's a great product and prepare's my skin well before I apply my Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. Which is a lovely product, it blends well and has a build able cover- although I don't think it's really right for my skin. I then use Collection 2000 stick concealer which is a must buy if you have bad spot scarring like me!

I then use my Rimmel Stay Matte powder which again is great, it last's all day and covers my foundation lovely. I also apply blusher again from the Rimmel range which I find are really easy to blend and have an amazing build able coverage.

I recently brought a product from Soap and Glory range called the Arch De Triumph, which was a great buy a bit expensive but it is a great little eye brow pencil. I have also been using for ages now since my teen's the Natural Collection mascara, I started using this product at school and can't seem to find a replacement product so I have stuck with it.

Lastly I spritz my face with MUA magic mist which set's your face against wind and rain etc. I love this little bottle and am extremely glad I pick it up!

Here is a price list for all the item's featured above:
Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation - £6.99
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder - £3.99
Rimmel Blusher- £3.99
MUA Fixing Mist- £5.00
MUS Primer- £4.00
Soap and Glory Arch De Triumph-  £8.00
Natural Collection Mascara-  £1.99
Colletion 2000 Concealer-  £2.99

Here's the finish result's -

Lush - The Immaculate Eggception Review

I was rather excited to try this bath bomb as it was so big and smelt amazing, On the review's it said to split it into several piece's and to use one piece per bath. But I decided to just place all the shell into my bath and save the little chick surprise for another bath.

Once you crack open your egg pick out your surprise of either a bunny or chick, then place some or all of the bath bomb into your warm bath and let it fizz. The first thing I noticed was the smell, it was amazing so strong and fruity I really did love it.

It left my skin feeling really soft and smelling lovely. I will defiantly be buying this product next year as it is a Easter special. You can either buy a pink one or yellow one and they cost £6.95 from Lush which is expensive for a bath bomb but as you get at least 2-4 baths out of it, it is worth it!

Have you tired the Immaculate Eggception this year, what were your thoughts?

March Empties and All About April

This month I only have 4 product's I've used up and they have all been amazing.

My favorite product has been my Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel which unlucky for me only come's out every year for Christmas. If anyone know's of a dupe product of this please let me know! I love the scent and how my skin has lovely glitter specks all over after using this product.

My second favorite being Neutrogena Spot Stress Control, It has been amazing on my skin and has cleared up some nasty breakout's but when I went back to Saver's to repurchase it they no longer had that version, so I had to settle with Neutrogena Gentle Exfoliating Wash. Which I haven't tried yet but hopefully it will be just as good.

I have also just finished my second pot of Rimmel Match Perfection which has been amazing but I hate the fact it only last's a month. I was really looking for a foundation to last up to 3 months. So I have now bought a new foundation which is working well, Review to come soon!

My last empty is Nivea Body Lotion which I got as a Christmas present and have only just used it up. It has been a great lotion, always making my skin feel soft and nourished but I love my lotion and potions to be scented so I have opted for a Soap & Glory product rather then repurchasing this lotion.

All About April!

So for April my plan is to use up as many product's as I can, as my cupboard is getting more and more full but I'm hardly using any of it! So I will be doing some lovely in depth reviews on products and letting you know how well I get on with using them up.

Let me know if you have your Empties blog up yet so I can have a little look,

SS13 Pamper Morning

It's always important to have a little me time and so I thought I was very much due a pamper morning, Here's a list of thing's I have used this morning :

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Paint in shade Pomegranate - £3.99
The Body Shop Chocomania Shower Cream - £4.00
Garnier Body Intensive 7 Days Soothing Gel Cream - £4.99
London Fruit and Herb Company Strawberry and Vanilla Fool Tea - £1.45
Lush The Brightside Bubble Bar - £4.25
Lush Cosmetic Warrior Face Mask - £5.95

The first thing I did was run my bath and added the Easter special Lush The Brightside bubble bar, the smell is amazing, my mum said when I picked it up that is was almost edible which I 100% agree. It smells like oranges which is one of my favorite scents. Once you run it under you're running water the water turn's orange and feels lovely against your skin.

I then washed my body using The Body Shop's Chocomania Shower cream, it was first brought for my mum as a Christmas gift but somehow didn't make it to her! It has a lovely rich chocolate smell to it and leaves my skin feeling really nourished. After washing my body I just had a nice relaxing 30 minute soak and then got out to start on some more pampering essentials.

I used Garnier Body Soothing Gel Cream which is advertise fast absorbing and has a lovely peach scent, I think this product is great although I would say it doesn't absorb as quick as I would like, However I still think it a great product to use after the bath.

I then used my Lush Cosemetic Warrior Face mask which is an amazing must have product if you have spot prone skin! While I wait 10 minute's for it to work it's magic I like to have a cup of Strawberry and Vanilla Fool tea which has a lovely taste and is really relaxing, for the price you get 20 tea bags which is just right for me to last a week. Although I can only seem to find this product in Holland and Barrett it would be lovely to see it on more shelves!

After all that pampering the last thing for me to do is my nails, I have used Barry M Hi Shine Gelly Paint today and am still loving this product hopefully I shall be getting some more shade's soon, I still haven't found a decent base/top coat so that shall be on my shopping list for tomorrow.

So do any of you have any blog post's about your pamper day/evenings? Let me know by leaving the link below, I would love to have a look!

Lush Cosmetic Warrior Face Mask Review

For a 21 year old I think I must have a typical 16 year old face! I get awful breakout's and get some nasty red blemish's. So I have gone on the hunt recently for a good face mask to use in the evening once or twice a week.

The best one so far out of all the one's I've tired has to be Lush's Cosmetic Warrior which is priced at £5.95, as it's made with all fresh ingredient's it only last's a month. The main ingredient's are Kaolin, Fresh Grapes, Garlic, Egg's, Honey, Cornstarch and Tea Tree Oil, As it is a fresh mask you must store it in the fridge.

The smell is quite strong as it's smell really fresh and almost like as outdoor smell, when I put it on my face it does smell really strong but once I wash it off it doesn't linger which is great, I have to apply the mask quite thick but when putting it on my face it feel's so cooling and I can feel it attacking my spot's straight away!

I found using it for around two weeks cleared my skin nicely and it started to work on leaving my red blemishes faded, this is a great product for anyone with spot prone skin.

So do you have any great face mask's I can try? Please leave some suggestion's below!

Lush Secret Garden Bath Bomb Review

One of the main reason's I go to Lush is for there Bath Bomb's, I adore them! I have a little list of favorite's and always try to pick up one of two new one's when I go shopping. Today I tried Secret Garden for the first time and was pleasantly surprised.

When you pop it in the bath is take's a while to start to fizz but once it does the colour's come out lovely and blend really well, Once you're in the bath you will notice the really nice sweet smell with smell's really fresh and last's on your skin all day!

But the really secret is the lovely petal's which come floating out of the bath bomb! They fill your bath and look amazing, it was a really nice treat.

Do you have any favorite bath bomb's from Lush? Let me know to see if they are on my favorite list!

TRESemme Hairspray Review

I'm a massive fan of TRESemme hairspray I've been using it for a good 2 year's or so now and it is always a must buy for me. I have 3 can's on the go at the moment my everyday at home one Extra Hold Salon Finish, and a sample size one or handbag size from my March Glossybox which will come in useful, Also my current handbag hairspray with is the Superior Hold.

Both promise to be fast drying and to be brush out easily products, which I 100% agree with, They also have a really nice scent and don't seem to be to over powering, they do last all day which is great but I always like to carry a spare bottle in case of any emergencies.

The price of the TRESemme Hairspray is extremely good the 100ml handbag can's are £1.85, the 250ml can's are £2.69, and the salon size 500ml are £4.69.

So do you have any hairspray product's who just can't live without? Let me know!

Monu Warming Aromatic Mask Review

I'm a massive fan of using face masks and was super excited to receive one in my March Glossybox. I had not heard of the brand Monu before so I did have a little look online and all the review's seemed great, So I was excited to try the Warming Aromatic Mask.

I was a bit let down by the mask the first thing I noticed was the bottle, it was extremely hard to read the instruction's and the description as the writing is in such a bright green shade it just blended in with the bottle,  I also noticed when I put it on it didn't have a warming sensation with was a big let down but also the smell was extremely over powering. The other thing I disliked was the fact you have to cleanse/tone your face before applying and then tone again after using the mask, this massive routine kind of took the fun out of doing a face mask, but maybe it's just me being lazy.

It did how ever leave my face feeling refreshed and was noticeably clearer, so maybe try this product if you don't have such a sensitive nose!

I did think maybe it was just me being fussy, so I have used this product a further two times but still can not get along with it. So sorry to say I will not be re purchasing the Monu Warming Aromatic Mask.

Do you have any face mask's you love? Let me know so I can a little look!

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Review

I have heard so much about Elizabeth Arden product's but never brought one, mainly due to the price I was put of buying one but when I got a sample tube in my Glossybox I was rather pleased and couldn't wait to try it out.

The cream I would say is more like a gel with a sticky texture and a rather nice caramel smell, you only need about 2 pea side amounts for your face and then a little smear for any dry area's you need to protect, For me its mainly behind my knee's and I have a small dry patch at the top of my legs.

When applying the cream you will feel very sticky and look really shiny. So I would suggest using this product just before bed and not just before you go out! But after a few uses's I did notice a massive difference in my face and was extremely surprise and happy with the result.

So do you have any cream you love or loathe? Let me know!

Nails Inc Burton Street Review

I have always wanted to purchase some Nails Inc paint's but the price tag did put me of, I think £11 is way to much to spend on one pot of nail varnish. So when I received a sample pot in my Glossybox I did a little squeal of joy.

The colour is perfect for spring weather as it's a really pretty beige toned nude it goes with most outfits and looks effortless on the nails. I found it didn't chip at all and lasted a good 4-5 days on my nails before looking a little tired and I needed to remove it, taking it off my nails was easy as it didn't stain.

I love using the nail varnish and would happily pick up another bottle but maybe when it's been reduced or on special offer!

Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush Review

Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush Cranberry - £12 available www.jellypongpong.com

I received this product in my March Glossybox and my first thought was 'oh no it's bright red!' I have quite a natural make up routine and was really worried as to how I was going to wear the lip blush but it turn out to be amazing!

The first thing I liked was texture it was extremely light and felt really hydrating, it didn't have an over bearing smell to it and lasted all night, So no need to re apply ever few hour's.

I wore it out on a night out with the family and was drinking pretty much all night, The great thing about this product was that it didn't leave a lipstick mark on the rim of the glass, which for me is a massive bonus as I personally hate lipstick stains!

My sister, mum and me wearing the lip product!

The only downside to the product is that it's only available in 2 shade's Cranberry or Marshmallow pink, I will be purchasing the Marshmallow pink soon and will do a second review on that shade.
