An Evening With Crabtree And Evelyn

I was invited to an evening event held at my local Oxford Crabtree and Evelyn last week so decided to brave the outdoor's with a horrid cold and attend. It was there Handy Tips Handed Down event which ran for 2 hours and allowed me and fellow bloggers the chance to share make up tips and to pin them to the Handy Tips tree. My tip was 'When applying blusher smile to expose the apple of your cheeks, then apply your blusher'.

We also got to have manicures and a chance to have a hand treatments, I opted for a hand treatment which involved using there pomegranate scrub and moisturiser which I have to say is the nicest scent I've smelt in a while!

As well as treatments we got some nibbles and a goodie bag to take home, I also got a photo using a Polaroid camera which I love and have been ebaying to try find one for myself. It was a lovely event and I had a lot of fun chatting to the Oxford bloggers and the staff at Crabtree and Evelyn.

Crabtree and Evelyn #OxMeet

On Sunday 23rd March I was lucky enough to attend the #OxMeet in Oxford and one of the stores we visited was Crabtree and Evelyn which do some great skincare and beauty products as well as teas and biscuits. It was my first visit there and I can happily say they have a new customer as they were lovely and all there products are affordable. I received a goody bag which was free but all my opinions are my own.

We started with a browse around the store looking at all the product and we were able to ask any questions about the products or any health and beauty questions. We were also able to have a manicure if we wanted they also have a great offer on there polishes which was two for £6 if you hurry it may still be going! I was really impressed with how nice they were and also at the range they have, I love there hand creams and they also have such a nice range of teas and biscuits.

In the goody bag I had a sample of the Pear and Pink Magnolia body lotion which had a lovely scent it sunk in well and didn't leave my skin to sticky. I also got a Iris hand therapy lotion which has a nice floral scent and also comes in a handy purse sized tube, I found it left my hands really soft and the scent seemed to last a good few hours which I really liked. I also got two perfumes samples ones which was the Pear and Pink Magnolia and the other one being the Lavender one, they are such a nice scent and seem to last on my skin for ages so I liked them a lot.

Oxford Shopping Haul

It has been one long month of January so when pay day came calling I was extremely happy to go spend some well earned money. I went to my favorite shopping area which is Oxford and picked up some bit's from Primark, Lush and Evolution, it's only a little haul but here go's!

Lush
They have started there valentines day range already in Lush so the first item's I checked out were a few massage bars, a lip tint and a shower gel but I settled on a bath bomb instead Love Locket which cost £6.95 which is expensive for a bath bomb but this one is huge!
I then had a look at there bubble bars and came away with one I have never tried before as the scent always put me off Amandopondo which is a great price of £2.75, the scent is quite a musky scent and I much prefer fruity girly scents but I decided to give this little bubble bar a go!

Evolution
This shop is great for gifts and everyday home items as it's cheap and cheerful I always pop in, this one is Oxford has only been open for a few months but I already love it! I picked up some amazing glittery red candles in there valentines range for only 50p each, I then spotted an oversized rose ring and it just happened to fit my finger so I brought one for £1.75 in a nice neutral colour, lastly I spotted at the till som button earrings which I have wanted for ages so I picked some up in a burgundy colour for £1.50.

Primark
I always leave this shop to last as I know I will find loads I want and this time round I only managed to spend £26.90, it must of been the weather! First up I picked up some jeggings as they were a sale item of £5.90 mine are currently a little overworn so I picked some up in the same dark burgundy colour as my current ones, I also found a great spring/summer skater denim skirt for just £8 the style goes really well with my body shape so I was happy to find this, I also found a really pretty cream kiss top with loads of kisses on for £6 I thought this would go great with the skirt.

I also came away with the adorable Bambi vest and knicker set for £5 it has a lovely design and I was really happy about finding it, Lastly I came away with some £2 socks cheap and cheerful they last me around 2-3 months before I need to buy some more but they always feel so soft and nice!

And that's all for my shopping haul, hope you enjoyed it!
