I'm always on the hunt for new nail polishes and was excited to see some in my Avon brochure which were reduced to £2.99, so I picked up one in a lovely orange shade and couldn't wait to give it a whirl. It's a very summery orange/red shade which gives the perfect pop of colour to brighten anyone's day, however I'm not to sure on how gel like the finish is as to me it just looks like any normal nail polish.

Beauty - Tanya Burr Pretty Lady Lashes
I've been wanting to try out the Tanya Burr lashes from her beauty range for a while now but as my local Superdrug doesn't stock them I have to wait until I visit a store that does which can takes ages. But on a recent trip to Oxford I went in and found three packets left so picked up the Pretty Lady ones which are the full false lashes and not the individual ones which I would need a lot of practice to get the hand off.
Lifestyle - Summer Is On Its Way
Summer is finally here and I've been loving it, yes I may be a little but burnt and already wishing I could wear some of my winter clothes again but bring on the ice creams and BBQs! I may have already had an ice cream and to my shock and amusement I found an ice cream van which sold me a '99p' cone for £1 which I was so surprised at as I'm sure the last time I spent around £2 on a cone and must of been in my teens!
Apollo Hotel and Spa at Basingstoke
As a joint birthday gift me and my sister spent the day at a local spa and although I may have only took one photo I decided to do a blog post on the day anyway. As it was my first ever spa day I didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised at how the day came together and how much fun I had.
Avon Moroccan Argan Oil
I have been after a leave in treatment for my hair for a while now and have been trying out new products for the last few months, I had a recent Avon order and decided to try out the Moroccan Argan Oil Leave In Treatment. I have used Moroccan Oil in the past and it works really well on my hair so I was immediately attracted to the product.
Are Cleansing Brushes Worth The Hype?
I'm not one to jump on many band wagons or try out gimmick products but I found a face brush at a cheap price in Avon so decided to buy one and try it out. I've been using it for around 3 weeks now and must say it has made a big difference in how my skin looks.
Remington Silk Curling Wand
As I've always had short hair I've never brought or owned a pair of hair curlers as I've never needed to use some but as I've been growing my hair out I thought I would treat myself to a pair. I am a complete newbie so buying a pair was a little scary as I didn't know which ones were good or had a good reputation, so I went for the first pair that caught my eye and that was the Remington CI96WI Silk Curling Wand for £15.99 (on offer with £10 off Hair Stylers) in Boots.
As a complete beginner the first attempt was a little tricky but as the wand is so easy to use I finally got the hang off it just as I got to the last few pieces of hair. I created small tight curls which once brushed out went into loose waves which looked really pretty. I was surprised at how easy the wand was to use as you simply press a button to turn it on and then set your temperature before creating some waves.
The wand has some great features included with heat setting's so you get the right temperature for your hair style as well as a setting to lock the temperature so if you accidentally press to up or take down the heat it won't. It also has a really long lead so I was able to get right to the back of my head without any struggles as well as plugging it into a socket which was quite far away.
The curls lasted in my hair all night which impressed me a lot as normally they go all loose before falling out completely leaving me with wavy hair, I did style my hair on day old hair and used hairspray to hold but I feel like the curls would of held well without doing that. Included in the pack was a glove which came in handy as I didn't want to burn the tip of my fingers on the end of the wand and there was also a heat protecting bag which you can store the wand in which is a great item to have.
