My Trip To Dublin

For my 25th Birthday I decided to book a trip away for the weekend to go to Dublin, my birthday is actually on May 27th but due to work I had to celebrate a week early. I went away for the weekend and had an amazing time, in this post I'll be doing a small detailed post on what I got up to but over the next few weeks I'll be posting on my travel blog in much more detail off everything I got up.

My Trip To Amsterdam

Wowee has Amsterdam been good! I only wished I had gone for longer but my three nights have been amazing and I've experience so much from such a small city that this blog post may be a long one. I'm going to try to sum it up all for you and try to explain my new love for Amsterdam.

Amsterdam - Outfits

I'm currently in Amsterdam right now but wanted to schedule a few posts for you to enjoy while I'm away so today I've got my outfits that I'm taking with me and also what I'm travelling in. I wanted to go with quite late winter spring outfits so there quite dark and contain a lot of black but I love each of these outfits so here is my first one which is my travel outfit and what I wore on the flight:

Amsterdam - What's In My Wash Bag

I'm going to Amsterdam in 2 days so I've managed to get my case together and have packed most off the items I'm taking. I've got my wash bag all together so thought I would share with you what I'm taking, I've mostly gone for minis and a lot of pamper products!

So Long New York

My last post on what I did in New York! I hope you liked my little posts and I shall be doing a more in depth review over on my travel blog, if you want to take a look then click here .

9/11 Memorial
On my last day I went to the 9/11 memorial which was a mix bag of emotions but a really nice place to go, I was 11 when it all happened and I still remember it on the news so it was all very odd seeing the pictures and visiting the memorial but it was something I wanted to do.

Rockefeller Centre
I wanted to go to the Rockefeller centre for one reason and that was to see the Top Of The Rock but the view wasn't very clear due to the fog however it was a lovely last place to visit before my journey home!

Going home was a little more stress free and the airport departures is a little more organised and a little better then arrivals, however I would not advise using JFK airport. That's it for my post's on New York I hope you enjoyed!

New York, New York!

Wowee what a week it has been, from staying up 24 hours and then walking around central park till my feet bled and then staying up enough 24 hours and sleeping for 12. But to not fear as I'm back and jet lag free I wanted to type up my post on all things New York. Starting from day one till the last day this series will be split into 4 blog posts so I can tell you as much as possible without over doing it and writing a monster of a blog post, so instead enjoy a 4 part diary like entry instead starting with day one and travelling and finishing with day two and getting lost in central park.

All The Emotions
Getting up late and getting ready to go to London Gatwick was so exciting and I was a little excited ball of a mess by the time I reached the airport. Checking in was stress free and going through the duty free was a dream, almost buying the whole of MAC was tempting but instead I went through to get some food and magazines instead. Finally boarding the plane happened and then it was time for take off however we just sat there and sat there and sat some more before after two hours we finally took off, so after staying awake the whole flight to fight of jet lag when I got there I finally arrived in JFK Airport to chaos. They have no idea what there doing over there and the security is awful, I'm not one to moan but JFK airport need to buck there ideas up or they are going to be in serious trouble!

However I arrived at my hostel and check in a 2am! and finally got some sleep, my hostel was a basic yet good one with a single room and shared toilet it was affordable and basic but good. After around 6 hours of sleep it was finally time for day two of New York!

Walking and Walking Some More
I made it to central park after a two block walk and decided to explore and of course I got lost, however in the park it's so peaceful and there's so much going on I didn't mind. From scary squirrels who won't go away to so many play parks you can't get board - if your a kid of course, then finding a random street cart selling food to coming across a castle, you must visit central park!

I then hobbled of to the Museum of Modern Art and spent ages looking around and taking in the wonderful paintings while stopping of finally for some lunch and tucking in to some New York grub of a hot dog outside the museum. Before I stuck my hand out and jumped into a taxi all the way back to my hostel, it was fun and easy to do while making me feel safe with his knowledge of New York you must at least once yet a taxi or cab in New York.

So that's part one look out for part two on Monday!

Travel - NY Travel Outfit and Bag

It's just two more days until I'm on a plane to New York! So this will be my last post for around a week and an a half so I can get sorted and write up the best post for you. Today I wanted to share my travel outfit and also share my travel bag with you as I love this style of blog posts so wanted to do my own for my blog.

My outfit is basically a comfort outfit as my anxiety is sky high and I want to be as stress free as I possibly can be so I've gone for big baggy and soft clothing. My dress is my Primark large long sleeved grey dress that is massive for me and fits nicely, to go underneath I'm going to be wearing leggings and also popping on some fluffy socks to keep me warm. To go on top of my dress to add some style I've got my skull scarf from H&M as my little comfort blanket as it's quite large and if I get stressed I shall be using it to protect me but to also add some style to the outfit as well as my hat also from H&M this is just a simple beanie to match the scarf. To complete my outfit I have my fake Mary Jane shoes from Primark which are super comfy and also add a nice bit of style to my outfit.

My suitcase is from Argos and I got it around 4 years ago now and still love it, it's still in great condition and fits in loads so I always love to take it when travelling for longer then a weekend. It's a Mr Men design so I can't miss it when it comes off the plane but I also love how it stands out and isn't as simple as other peoples as no one likes to be boring at an airport!

So that's my last post for a while but I shall see you soon with some New York posts!

Beauty - What's In My New York Wash Bag

In just a month's time I shall be going off to New York and have already got my wash bag together, mainly due to the fact that I've been collecting beauty mini's for the last six months. I normally save the freebies in magazines or buy the odd product here and there on a 3 for 2 offer which means the first thing I have ready for a holiday is normally my wash bag, so for today's post lets explore my New York Wash Bag!

The bag itself is from Primark and was around £6 it has three compartments and folds away to a really handy size, it has two stuck in compartments and then one which you can remove. It stores a lot of items and I find I can always fit a lot more then I think I can in there, the design is a lovely bright eye catching one that reminds me of summer and the sea.

Travel - Some New York Tips

So in just 4 months I shall be on my way to New York and over the last few months I have been getting ready for my trip by doing little things rather then going mad all at once, so I thought I would share with you what I've been doing and also sharing some top tips on a more enjoyable holiday.

Beauty Mini's
As I didn't want to splurge and spend a lot of money on mini's just before going away I have a spare shoe box in my room which I have filled slowly over the last few months with mini's as I've been getting them. So if I have brought a magazine and it contained a mini product I would put it straight into the box, or I would pick up a mini in an offer so if Boots had a buy 2 get 1 free my freebie would be a mini. So my little shoe box now has a great selection of products which I shall be doing a blog post on soon.

My Trip To Edinburgh

I didn't think it was possible to fall in love with a city but Edinburgh has most defiantly taken my heart, it is such a pretty city and the people there are so friendly it made it hard to leave. I spent 3 days in the city and 2 days travelling there, there was so much to do that I was rushed off my feet for the full three days. The best thing about Edinburgh is there is always something really beautiful around the corner which I loved, also the fact that most attractions are affordable or free made it so much more relaxing to explore the city.

To make my way around the city I used the Hop On Hop Off bus which had 5 buses in total exploring the whole of Edinburgh, making it easy to get to all the main attractions. I only booked it for the 2 days as on my third day I was only going to go to one destination so I didn't need the buses, for two days it cost £18 and the buses were available from 9-5pm. I found the drivers to be helpful and easy to talk to and with the running audio on the bus it was easy to find the right stop, the buses were clean and heated.

I stayed in a Travelodge on Waterloo Place which is just off Princes Street so I had a nice central location but it was just off the main street so I didn't have the noise and stress off being on a busy street. My hotel was clean and the staff were really helpful and friendly, the room got cleaned each day and they had some great extras free of charge like an iron and hairdryer. They also had breakfast available for £4.99 and they had a coffee and snack bar as well in the main lobby.

For attractions Edinburgh is jam packed with things to do and I almost didn't have enough time to get everything done and to see everything. The main thing I loved was there was museums on most streets and they were all free, I went into around 5 museums in total my favorite being The National Museum of Scotland. There is also lots of attractions to see like to Castle and the Zoo this are all affordable, the most I pay for an attraction was £16 which is great compared to most places.

Of course I went shopping! I visited the main street Princes Street and explored all the main stores mostly Lush, H&M and Topshop but I also went into Princes Mall and St James Shopping centre and they had some great shops in there as well which was handy when it rained. I shall be posting a haul on Wednesday if you fancy taking a look at what I brought!

So that's about it from my Edinburgh trip, let me know the place you would love to visit?
