WLW February Update

This month fitness wise I've done quite well I've started to do a Davina dvd and I've been getting up early each morning to do a quick 20 minutes routine. But i've been struggling with my eating habits still as I have a good few days before slipping up and having something unhealthy so it's defiantly shown in my weigh in as well as this month being really short so it's not to good but I don't mind to much as I have made a loss!



The Davina workout dvd is great if you want to lose weight as she really pushes you but in the nicest way, I find I can't get bored as in total you get three workouts per dvd and if you mix them up you have something new each time. They are quite long at an hour each time but that is with the right warm up and a great cool down sections. I normally do one a week but at a push if I have a quiet week at work I will do two and have found myself getting a little fitter with how I feel on the inside, so I would really recommend this dvd for anyone who fancy's working out.

Weight 25.02.15 - 13 Stone 10 pounds 
Dress Size - 18

Weight loss of 4 pounds

Which is roughly a pound a week which isn't to bad, next month I'm going to really push myself and aim to loose 10 pounds to get to 13 stone, wish me luck it's going to be a tough month!!

Weight Loss Wednesday - January Update

This month has been a bit of a fail month as I went off the dieting bandwagon and almost failed all the little tasks and achievements I wanted to achieve. So it's not really a month to be proud of if I'm 100% honest but I shall fill you in on all the details!

I started the month off by finishing all the Christmas chocolate and treats off which meant my diet didn't start until two weeks into January and instead of going onto Slimfast I went onto a normal diet instead. Meaning my body never really had a detox and it was easy to slip up and snack on unhealthy food, but last minute on around the 17th I started Slimfast and saw a great change straight away with my bloating going down and my face looking slimmer at the end of the month.

I was meant to be working out but I did purchase a new exercise dvd meaning I know have two Davina dvds instead of one but I haven't used them yet! Which is really bad I know but I have been doing some toning exercises so hopefully it won't effect me to much by not working out.

Now for the dreaded weigh in, I was expecting to much of a loss this month as hadn't really tried but here you go:

Weight 28.01.15 - 14 Stone
Dress Size - 18

Weight Loss of 5 pounds

For February I shall be continuing the Slimfast shakes and I shall be attempting my Davina workout dvds and shall hopefully see a change pretty soon!

The Return Of Weight Loss Wednesday!

This year one of my new years resolutions is to lose some weight as at the moment I'm extremely unhappy about my looks and my confidence is hitting a new low. Last year I attempted to do Weight Loss Wednesday and was doing well before falling off the band wagon and giving up, so this year I've decided to start again but instead of writing a new post each week I shall be doing a monthly one to keep you up to date we diet's that are working well or exercise's which are good and of course I shall be doing weigh in's as well!

So to start with here are my stats:

Weight 31.12.2014 - 14 Stone 5 pounds
Dress Size - 18

For the next month I shall be doing the Davina workout dvd at least twice and week and shall be doing the Slim Fast diet to kick start my weight loss!

Let me know if you are also dieting and if you are doing some posts as I would love to read them! So I shall see you next month with an update, fingers crossed I loss some weight!

#BloggersWLW Week Six

Trying to find the right meal is rather hard on a diet can be tricky but I have two books which recently have been lifesavers for my diet, I picked up a juices and smoothies book as well as being given a 100 calories cookbook. I've been using them the last month as a snack and dinner meal planner, as on Slim Fast you only need a dinner and three snacks during the day while you have two shakes.

The juices and smoothies book has been great as I brought a smoothie maker a while ago and have found so many good recipes. The only problem is they don't have calories so you may be having a juice thinking you are doing well when in actual fact I've just had 700 calories!
The book is easy to follow and has simple ingredients, it's from Waterstones and cost £5.99.



The 100 calories book is a fantastic find, it has breakfasts lunches and dinners as well as puddings. It has a lot of easy to follow recipes and easy to find ingredients. All meals are under or 100 calories so they are small but some are really filling and say if you want a 400 calories meal it's easy to double the ingredients or add your own stuff.
The book is from Marks and Spencer but as it was a gift I'm not sure on the price.



My smoothie machine is from Robert Dyers and is from there own range so only cost me around £10. It has a fun and easy to use tap on the front to pour out your smoothies and has several power settings. It's easy to use but quite tricky to clean with all it's pieces. I brought it around 6 months ago and it still works great almost like I brought it yesterday!

#BloggersWLW Week Five

Today's post I'm going to take you down memory lane to take a look through my weight in pictures, I've always been chubby and I've never been skinny even as a small child I was always quite adventurous and had almost a boy's body.

This photo was taken when I was on holiday and had started getting a belly and chunky legs, I was 13 in this photo and around a size 10-12 which is quite normal I think and my aim to to get back to this weight and back into a size 10.



This was me at my mum's wedding and I was a bridesmaid, at this point I was 16 years old and I was a size 16 so in three years I had gone up three dress sizes and was a lot larger then most of my family members. I was uncomfortable with my weight but instead of doing something about it I kept eating.



This is a photo of me on my 18th birthday, I had managed to stay at a size 16 but my clothes were getting to small and I was pushing a size 18. I was in deep depression and comfort eating which at this point my weight piled on.



And this is my latest photo a size 20 and 22 years old.

#BloggersWLW Week Four

Today's the day for my weigh in! I must admit I've pretty much weighed myself daily from day one so I know I have done quite well but I shall start my sharing my details from last month

Weight 1st January was = 15 stone 4lbs ( 214 pounds)
BMI 1st January was = 39.1 Obese
Dress Size 1st January was = Size 20

A lot has changed since then I am now exercising more with dvds and long walks. I have also dramatically cut my food intake down from weekly take aways, mcdonalds lunches and snacking all night to three meals a day and under 1000 calories a day. I did however have a really bad weekend, I ended up having a pizza and not one but two girly nights! 

Weight 29th January is = 14 Stone 9lbs (205 pounds)
BMI 29th January is = 38.2
Dress Size 29th January is = Size 20

Total Weight Loss = 9 Pounds!

For next month here are my targets,

  • To exercise more, I currently do an exercise video twice a week so I'm going to be doing that plus two Youtube exercise workout's
  • To stay with Slim Fast and try to not have so many naughty days!
  • To drink more water, I still only have around 4 cups a day and want to get it to 8
  • To get down to a size 18 and fit back into some of my old clothes

#BloggersWLW Week Three

I've tried out many diets in the pass and my favorite and most effective diet has been Slim Fast, a control and easy to follow diet plan with a great online support system. I have used it in the past for around a month and I lost a stone in weight, before slowly putting it back on again. The reason I fail at diets is I have no self control over eating and if I like something I will eat it and go completely of the diet, so this time with the help of Bloggers I will hopefully stick to my slim fast diet!

The diet is simply you have 3 snacks a day, 2 shakes or meal bars and 1 calorie controlled meal. The snacks can be fruit, nuts or there own snack bars/pretzels, the shakes come in several flavors like chocolate strawberry etc and there bars are chocolate flavored, and the meal must be 600 calories or less. So you get a nice variety of foods and plenty of choices!



You also need to do some exercise which as stated on the products can be a simply dog walk, I tend to walk to and from work which is an hour of walking and find this is enough for me. The one thing I like about Slim Fast is the great online support you get from other Slim Fast users and the people behind the company, on the website you enter all your details and then you get daily meal plans and can answer or submit questions to users. You can also track how well you are doing and take a look at all the products you can buy and try.

The website is free to use and has helped me out a lot in the past hopefully I shall stick to it this time round as I'm only a week in!

#BloggersWLW Week Two

So it's now week two of BloggersWLW and it's been ok so far, as I've been in Paris I did have a few slip up's but I feel I have done well for week two! I'm thinking of each month doing a weigh in instead of weekly so stay tune for my weigh in at Week Four!

Today I want to talk about Exercise dvd's, I follow two dvds which I tend to do four times a week so one on Monday and then one on Wednesday and then them repeated on other days. I find them quite fun to do and if you can get family members to join in it can get quite funny!

The two dvds I follow are TOWIE's The Essexercise Workout and Davina Super Body Workout. The Essexercise dvd is quite fast and hard to follow but it gets you sweating like mad, there are three workouts a dance one, a combat one and a toning one. They also have extras like smoothie making, face masks and more. The Davina workout dvd is easier to follow and has a lot more workouts and no extras, it also has a great cool down workout which I really enjoy after working out.



I would highly suggest buying the Davina workout for more serious and easy to follow workouts or if you and a group of friends want to do a joint workout I would go with the TOWIE workouts.

Weigh In October

My first month on my diet wasn't the best I must admit I fell back into bad habit's after a few days and then found it hard to go back onto my diet so I wasn't expecting to of lost any weight at all. My goal for this month was a stone in weight I weighed myself this morning and I was 14 stone, meaning I have lost 8lbs. Which I am extremely happy about and feel really proud, it may not of been the stone I was after but it will do!



I feel more awake then I usually would and have a bit more energy as well as my clothes not feeling snug anymore. I have also noticed my skin has cleared up which is great news and I always have trouble with spots. The only downside is I am craving so much junk food and really want a glass of coke which I knew would be hard to give up but I didn't realise it would be so bad!



So for November I will be adding 'fast' days into my diet, so for 4 days I will be sticking to my 1500 calories and then for 3 days I will be only having 500 calories! Which sounds scary but it is a well known diet known as the 4:3 diet. A lot of people have seen some great results and I can not wait to see what effects it will have on me.

So my target for next month is to weigh in at 13st 4lb which is a 10 pound weight loss.
